Hi there. My name is Gary McLaren, retired civil servant after 36 years as a mineral resource policy adviser, program coordinator and technical specialist with the Ontario Ministry of Natural Resources. I live in the heart of eastern Ontario on Big Rideau Lake which is part of the historic Rideau canal system, a heritage site designated by the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) as a World Biosphere reserve.
I founded Milestone Aggregate Resources Consulting Services Inc. to provide professional services to the industry to facilitate approvals for pit and quarry operations. In this capacity I will focus on the growing demands for mineral aggregates required to build and maintain our roads, schools, hospitals, bridges, and residential, and commercial infrastructure.
